What is TBI in a car accident?

by James Holliday, posted in Brain Injury
TBI in a car accident means traumatic brain injury. There are varying degrees of traumatic brain injury, but what can happen and what often does is when someone is involved in a wreck, the brain that sits inside fluid inside the skull is like jello, and it bounce back and forth hitting the inner surface of the skull which is not smooth.

The inner surface of the skull is jagged and it causes twisting and shearing of the brain tissue resulting in loss of function. That can be memory problems, dizziness, mood changes.

If you or a loved one have been hurt in an accident that results in nausea, memory problems, it probably means you have a traumatic brain injury. I’d love to sit down and talk with you about it and see if there’s a way I can help.
