What causes paralysis? | Spring Hill Personal Injury Lawyer

Common causes of paralysis are injuries to the brain and to the spinal cord itself. Sometimes, the brain is injured in a location that is responsible for sending signals to the muscles allowing movement. When that part of the brain is harmed, the body cannot respond or receive those signals and there's no motion of the limbs.

Other times, the spinal cord itself, the bundle of nerves, can be bruised or severed resulting in paralysis. Sometimes, when there is bruising of the nerves, the person can regain function over time.

If you or a loved one has suffered an injury resulting in paralysis, please come into the office and meet with me and together we can figure out if you have a case.
