How many slip and fall cases go to trial?

by James Holliday, posted in Premises Liability Blog, Uncategorized

In Florida, most slip and fall cases will settle. The court will order the case to be mediated before it ever reaches the courtroom. I urge you to immediately contact a lawyer right after the slip and fall so that lawyer can hire the right experts and preserve the evidence to present your best case at mediation. When the case is properly worked up, more likely than not it will settle and if it doesn’t, you’ll be prepared for trial. If you or a loved one have been hurt in a slip and fall accident, please give me a call, come on to the office and we’ll sit down and figure it out together.
