What is anoxic brain injury?

What is anoxic brain injury? Anoxic brain injury is an injury to the brain caused by loss of oxygen. The brain needs oxygen to survive. If the brain goes without oxygen for five minutes, brain cells begin to die, coma will set in, seizures can occur. Doctors diagnosing an anoxic brain injury will run several important tests including MRI, CT scans, and EEG. Doctors will even sometimes do blood tests to determine what the level of oxygen is in the blood. This is a very serious condition. If you or a loved one has suffered an anoxic brain injury, please come in and sit down with me. I would like to talk with you and we’ll figure out if we have a case together.
